Matt's Werid Appetite!

  • May. 21st, 2009 at 10:54 PM

Matt is a very small eater. Usually after a few mouthfuls, he will refuse to eat anymore!!! (which explains his ultra small size).

However, he's always game to eat "extraordinary things", things like lemon slice, raw veges, etc. I suspect he might be more of a herbivore!!!

Unlike his sis... he's not much into eating cold things, junks (maybe except sweets).

Check out the attached pics (warning... BIG pics)

Example of his weird eating : )

Trip Cancelled

  • May. 5th, 2009 at 11:48 PM

Initially has planned to go Taipei with my fren this coming Fri.

However, decided to call off the trip due to Swine Flu :( Though Taipei has not been hit (yet), but better to play safe since I've got 2 kids at home.

Furthermore, mum has been nagging me non stop ever since I told her about my trip. According to her... it's machiam I'll SURE kena from the flu if I go to Taipei. She even said "Later you cannot see your kids, very cham one leh".

Ok... she wins.

SQ side..... allow postpone of trips (which was my initial plan). However, the max period they allow is1 MONTH grace. Meaning.... if I choose to postpone... I have to travel by 6 Jun, no matter wat. Chey.

Of cos, they also allow cancellation. Which I prompty did so. Since I've no wish to travel by 8 June and I seriously doubt that the flu will be cleared by then.

Hotel wise... they are quite inflexible. They dun allow postponed and when we wanted to do cancellation, we have to forfeit our rental. :( Heng my fren choose a 3* hotel... where we only paid 300+ for 4 nites (for 2 pax). So, the lost is not that HUGE.

Haiz.... so.... no travelling for now. No Tokyo. No Paris. No watsoever. Maybe..... SENTOSA for Matt's forthcoming bd?

Conversations with Mel.....

  • Apr. 15th, 2009 at 12:47 AM

Was lying on the bed with Mel.... Yakking with her....

Me:  Mel.... go give Matt a kiss...

Mel: Cannot.... princess cannot kiss prince... only prince can kiss princess

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently, she kept mentioning abt her classmate, Justin.

Mel: Mummy, I like Justin. He is my best friend. Next time when Mummy has another bb, we call him Justin ok.

Hahaha....

HFMD really STRIKED!!!

  • Mar. 7th, 2009 at 2:28 AM

However, instead of Matt, Mel's the one who GOT it!!!!

After she reached home (fr sch), I realised that she was having a HIGH fever (ard 39 degree C). I fed her Neurofen. Despite the high fever, she was still very active.

Initially thot she was just having a normal fever.... nevertheless, proceeded to check on her hands and feet, hoping it's not HFMD. Her hands and feet are clear. Then, come to mouth.... asked her to open her mouth for me and say "AHHHHHHHHH", there, I spotted a few red dots. @#%$*&^*O :(

Brought her to the GP and he confirmed she kena from HFMD! Was given a week MC and was asked to return for a followup on next Thurs to check whether she's fit to go sch.

While we were at the clinic, I asked the GP whether it's too late to separate the siblings. He said "Yup." And I asked him whether there's a need for Matt to stop sch. He told me there's no need for Matt to stop sch unless he is running a fever and has developed rashes.

So, just pray hard that Matt will MIRACLE-LY siam from HFMD!!!

Conversation with Mel

Me and Mel were in the lift

Me:  Aiya.... Mummy spotted white hair. Mummy getting old already.
Mel: Mummy, I like white hair, I dun like red hair (previously, I dyed my hair until quite red)
Me:  But then, when mummy grows old, mummy will die.
Mel: Mummy, I like RED hair. If not, pour Ketchap on your hair, k?

Hahaha.

Defecate

  • Feb. 10th, 2009 at 5:03 PM

We were in the car... when Mel suddenly said "De-fe-cate". I thought she wanted to say "Certificate", so I corrected her.

Mel: "No... teacher said cannot said shhs shhs (aka wee wee).... must say "defecate"

Me and L were quite impressed cos we never used this verb before. I was still telling L... "Wah, Mel soooooo high class now, can say defecate and not shhs shhs"

Me: "Mel, then how do u say "umm umm" (aka big biz)?"

Mel: Mummy, it's PANG SAI

Me: *fainted*

----------

Short Note: Defecate = Pang Sai and not wee wee. Must correct her.

Just when I thot it was quite exaggerating for Mel to have HOMEWORKS given to her at this young age (3yrs+), I thot it was even more so when I saw this stack of papers for Matt.

Presenting, Matt very 1st stack of HOMEWORK in his life:

So, who ended up finishing this pile of papers?

Guess.

Mel's Graduation Day

  • Nov. 14th, 2008 at 12:15 AM

How time flies.....

My Melody will be graduating tmr. I actually felt kinda sad/emtional rite now... A bit siao I know... machiam I'm the one who's graduating tmr.

I'm Waiting for the Day to Come....

  • Oct. 28th, 2008 at 11:50 PM

If it's not becos I wanted to wait till Matt turns 18mths....... I would have stop expressing by now.

Currently, I have to express 3-4 times in order to make 1 feed for Matt. Yield only a few drops using the pump despite pumping for 30mins. So now, I've reduced the pump time, and depend more on hand expressing (which I can get more milk this way)

I'm getting tired, sian already.

So, come 18 Nov.... it's time to say BYE BYE to my trusted good old MEDELA :)

I'm glad and proud of myself to have come this far.

CLAP! CLAP! :p

Matt's Such a Lovely Boy....

  • Oct. 14th, 2008 at 1:40 AM

Me: Who's Birthday is coming?
Matt: "Ma-Mee!"

I was damn happy when he said "Ma Mee", cos all the while, he has neber called me MUMMY. It's just "Ma Ma" ... which he also address my MIL the same way :(

Haha... at least I've got my own identity now. :p

----------------------------------------------------------------

Was pretending to crying miserably.

And this little boy upon seeing his mummy crying.... went to fetch her a tissue and wanted to dry tears for her.

Awwwww.... how sweet is that.

IF

  • Oct. 9th, 2008 at 5:03 PM

IF my ss permits, I will STOP pumping when Matt turns 18 mths.

-----------------------------------------------

Had bought a 400g Gain IQ and fed him.... so far, he is taking it good (though always have problem to finish it). Will proceed to buy him a bigger tin.

Still giving him 1 feed of BM per day (either chilled which I've accumulated for 2-3pumps or the frozen BM)

SS is DROPPING!!!!

  • Oct. 1st, 2008 at 12:12 AM

Ever since the start of my cruise... my SS has been dropping like nobody's biz.

Before my trip, I could still harvest over 150ml per pump. During the trip, it dropped to 100ml (hand-expressed).

And NOW... the MAX is can get per pump is 60ml!!!!!! (avg 40-50ml)

Haiz, I know eventually I have to stop... but then, was hoping to last at least till Matt turns 18mths. Seems like I have to lower my "expectation" liao. Dun even know if I can tahan until he's 17mths. :(

I'm not really depressed abt the decreasing ss....... I'm more like TIRED but Buey Gum Wan to stop pumping :(

Jian hor! :p

------------------------------------------

On the other hand, Matt seems to be able to tolerate dairy products better. Fed him ice cream and yoghurt... NO reactions at all.

I supposed his system is finally "READY" liao.

Hahaha... which explains the drop in my ss??? (telling me that I can stop pumping and stop worrying abt him having allergy taking normal FM liao) :p

@ 15.5mth old..... Matt still has allergy towards dairy products. :(

Fed him some Fresh milk...... and almost immediately.....

This is wat I saw

Wonder when his allergy towards dairy products is going to stop.
